Biography
Katie Marland graduated with a BA in Illustration from UAL in 2019, and attended the Drawing Year in 2021. She is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD at the University of Leeds, exploring British folklore and the legend of the Black Dog through drawing and printmaking. Her work centres on themes of the eerie, spectral and uncanny, and much of her work is directly inspired by observation of archival and museum specimens.
