Biography

Katie Whitford b. 1995 is an artist based in Bristol, UK. Katie’s practice encompasses printmaking, drawing, ceramics and textiles. Through these mediums, she constructs pictures composed from her own memories, woven with a range of motifs from films, museums, books and places. Her work pauses to enjoy ordinary things and she is driven by a fascination with objects. Her process always begins with drawing and sketching from life, taking these drawings back to the studio to build pictures rich in surface and tone.
