Matthew Philip Cotton

Biography

Matthew Cotton draws for a sense of immersion, using automation in his drawings by means of repetitive mark-making. On The Drawing Year, Matthew has begun to allow narrative to develop, interjecting his once empty spaces with figures and symbols. His current ambition is to reach a community he has been searching for since moving to London. Matthew completed his BA Fine Art at Falmouth University in 2014, previously studying at the Royal West Academy of Art and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
