Niamh Hughes

Biography

Niamh Hughes (b. 2000, Aberdeen) graduated from Gray's School of Art with First Class Honours in Painting in 2023. Since studying on The Drawing Year, she has developed her practice to include printmaking and mixed media drawing.

In her work, Niamh takes notice of the strangeness and familiarity of daily life as she encounters it through observational drawing, photographs, and film references playing with image and surface to reflect the ambiguity often found in everyday life.
