Biography
Australian born Sally is passionate about the human condition and the environment. She is a full time NHS nurse specialist and lives in Merton with her daughter and husband, acclaimed pianist, bandleader and composer Robert Mitchell. The drawing year helped her progress from nudes and portraits to street sketching and live music. Her art features on 2 of Mitchell's album covers and her self portraits were hung in the Ruth Borchard show in 2011 and 2021.
Quickly executed her drawings are lively and gestural and sometimes the starting point for larger mixed media works.
