Simon Nicasz-Dean

Biography

Simon Nicasz-Dean is a Spanish-born British visual artist. His practice is concerned with images that call to the unconscious, through multilayered and elided depictions of the familiar and banal. He draws from observation and photographic sources, often repeating works until their original meaning is lost. He is the recipient of the Royal Academy of Arts’ British Institution Award and the Royal Institute of British Architects’ President’s Medal.
