Biography

Painting directly in situ at a variety of scales, Tim’s work focuses predominantly on aspects of place - being motivated by the how light and time characterises an environment and the people who live and move through it. Initially having studied portraiture in Florence, his work is influenced by the tradition and craft of representational painting, whilst being focussed on the present.

A 2019, 2022 and 2024 awardee of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant for emerging artists, Tim previously studied in Florence, Italy, the Royal Drawing School, and the University of Brighton.
