Tom Scotcher’s current work explores what visual trickery is required for a viewer to feel that they are seeing into a picture and not just looking at it. He wants the viewer to react and respond to the characters he presents us with as though part of an immersive theatrical performance. The images are seductive and alluring, but the narrative questionable and unsettling.
