Biography

Tommy Butt studied Fine Art Painting at Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) before embarking on The Drawing Year a little while later. He enjoys drawing from life and the challenge of recording daily bustle with a direct and energetic approach, often trawling the same place for a lasting impression. His paintings and collages are an attempt to work material gained from observation into something coherent. They are part of an ongoing reflection on the day-to-day.
