Gillian Barlow
Biography
Gillian Barlow studied as a painter at The Slade, and then read art history at Sussex. Her own work developed from the inspiration of Elizabethan miniaturists and Indian album painters and was widely exhibited. But her art then took a botanical turn and she is now a leading figure in this genre, recipient of Gold Medals of the Royal Botanical Society and active at Kew and at the Chelsea Physic Garden.
