Zoe Savory

Biography

Zoe Savory is a figurative painter and writer based in Chester. Her paintings often begin in front of a mirror or while painting outdoors. She blends observation with elements of imagination to reflect on ideas about identity and community. Born in Salford, Zoe found her way into art through evening life drawing sessions while studying philosophy and politics at the University of Oxford. She has recently set up Chester Portrait Club to bring together local artists to draw one another from observation.
