Young Artists Exhibition 2023
Each year our Young Artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional exhibition at our Shoreditch gallery. Over 100 artworks were on display from 7 - 14 July, showing a wide range of media, styles and themes.
We were also delighted to welcome illustrator, author and character designer, Dapo Adeola to the opening of the opening as our guest of honour. The British Book Awards Illustrator of the Year 2022, he co-created and illustrated the book Look Up!, which explored space science and won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2020.

On our courses, students challenge themselves to capture their observations of the world around them on paper. The selection was made by our senior faculty to reflect the range and talent of our Young Artists. This represents a small fraction of the thousands of drawings that have been made during the course of the last academic year. For many of our students this is their first experience of exhibiting publicly and having the opportunity to sell their work.
There was also the opportunity for young artists visiting the show, to make some work themselves. With an elaborate set up and a costumed model ready to draw, we were very impressed by the artwork made on the night!
Congratulations to all of our Young Artists, we're already looking forward to next year's show!
