Overview

This session pass gives you access to all Lunchtime Life Drawing sessions in the Autumn Term at a 25% discount.

Join us live from our studios at lunchtime, 1–2pm (GMT), for a focused hour of drawing. Whether you're looking to improve your skills, take a mindful break, or explore new ways of seeing, these sessions offer a space to slow down and draw with purpose.

Each Digital Studio session uses the School's multi-camera set-up to create observational drawing opportunities that are only possible online. With a focus on the human form, these lunchtime classes allow you to observe and draw from a live model from the comfort of your home or workplace.

An experienced tutor will guide you through a range of short and long poses, focusing each week on different aspects of the body and varied approaches to drawing the figure. All levels welcome.

Classes included in this Lunchtime Life Drawing session pass:

Monday 21 September, 13:00 - 14:00 - Line: Balance and stability

In this class, led by Tara Versey, explore how line can be used to understand balance and stability in the figure. With a digital grid as a guide, Tara will help you map the relationships between forms in the body and build a clearer sense of structure.

Monday 28 September, 13:00 - 14:00 - Tone: Relationships of form and space

In this class, led by Tara Versey, you will explore tone and the relationship between form and space in life drawing. The scene will be digitally desaturated to better understand tonal values and levels of contrast within the figure and surrounding space.

Monday 5 October, 13:00 - 14:00 - Head and shoulders

In this class, led by Tara Versey, explore how to draw the head and shoulders by looking closely at the structure of the neck. Tara will guide you through the relationship between muscles, posture and the position of the head, helping you build a more convincing sense of form.

Monday 12 October, 13:00 - 14:00 - Hands

In this class, led by Tara Versey, explore how to draw hands with greater confidence by looking at the structure beneath the surface. Using live technology, Tara will reveal how the skeleton supports gesture and form, offering a practical way into drawing this expressive and challenging part of the body.

Monday 19 October, 13:00 - 14:00 - Structure of the head

In this class, led by Dexter Orszagh, you will explore how to break down and reconstruct the human head through drawing, using close observation to understand its underlying structure and form.

Monday 26 October, 13:00 - 14:00 - The Torso and Arms

In this class, led by Dexter Orszagh, you will explore how to break down the torso and arms through drawing, looking closely at how their structures connect and support movement.

Monday 2 November, 13:00 - 14:00 - The Body Interacting

In this class, led by Dexter Orszagh, you will examine the model interacting with a series of objects, capturing both figure and item, to explore the dynamic nature of the body.

Monday 9 November, 13:00 - 14:00 - The Body Reflected

In this class, led by Dexter Orszagh, you will examine the body in relation to its reflected image. Working with mirrors and digitally duplicated views of the model, you will explore how reflection can alter your understanding of the figure.
