Drawing Foundations brings together eight artists, each with their own approach and visual language. Rather than teaching a single method or a set of techniques, the course encourages you to experiment, look closely and develop your own way of drawing.

Across four modules, explore:

  • Drawing from observation – Look closely at the world around you and discover new ways of seeing.

  • Drawing from art – Respond to artworks and collections through your own drawing.

  • Drawing your place in space – Explore landscape, architecture and the environments around you.

  • Drawing from imagination and memory – Use memory, experience and imagination as starting points for drawing.

Designed for your practice

Whether you are new to drawing, returning to it or looking to deepen an existing practice, Drawing Foundations gives you the time and space to explore.

Learn at your own pace, wherever you are, with one year of access to the course.
