Overview

Students will be taken on a journey through a new variety and series of weekly themes, and while some concepts and materials may seem familiar, they will be explored deeper and anew. Subject matter will include observing our surroundings and still life, ourselves relating to self-portraiture, great art of the past and perceptually from the model.

The use of various drawing materials directly related to such ideas will be considered, discussed and examined.

Morning slide presentations and talks will be given to deepen engagement and understanding of the various concepts and language being taught. The day will conclude in a group seminar and critique. One-to-one tuition will be given throughout.
