Overview

We will draw from an eclectic pool of artists and makers as we reflect on a diverse range of subjects from self-portraiture to protest. We will also gather inspiration from at least one visit to a museum, gallery or other destination each term.

It is worth noting that while participants will be making their own work, there will be an emphasis on community through the sharing of work and the collaborative nature of the discussions. Perfect for all experience levels: the only pre-requisite is an appetite to explore different approaches to drawing, printmaking and thinking.

Please note: Our Print Room has limited access and etching involves using hazardous chemicals. The print room environment is not suitable for everyone. Etching classes are unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, those sensitive to chemicals or with breathing difficulties.

Who is it for

Artists, creatives and image-makers of all levels welcome, including beginners.

What’s provided

For printmaking courses, a fully equipped intaglio print room is provided for students to work with etching, collograph and monoprint. Plates and paper can be bought at just over the cost-price in the print room (card payments only).  On average, most students usually spend between £10 - £20 for a 10 week course.
