This course is an opportunity to work with two models in the studio, focussing on the way in which they engage, interact and communicate with one another. We will draw inspiration from artists including Masaccio, Manet, Bellows and more who have all grappled with this theme in different ways and we will use their artworks as inspiration to position our models. In accompanying out-of-house sessions, we will explore the constantly changing space around the figure in London’s streets, parks and interior spaces. Studio sessions can be seen both as preparation for drawing the world outside, and as a way of slowing and ‘restaging’ life glimpsed in the city.

Free charcoal, newsprint and masking tape are provided in the Studios. There is an added paper fee for the use of cartridge paper throughout the course.
