Young Associates are open to young people aged 15 - 18 (those in school years 10 - 13) who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills.

Taught by professional practicing artists, the weekly classes are an opportunity for students to develop their passion for drawing in a creative and supportive environment and develop a portfolio of high-quality work.

Tutors will lead students through a range of drawing exercises each week including working from a clothed model, still life and artworks. They will create collaborative works, theatrical sets and animations as well as venturing into Norwich to draw the city.

Young Associates are also invited to submit artworks to our annual Young Artists Exhibition in our Shoreditch studios in London.

This course is based in St Mary's Works at the heart of Norwich’s creative quarter. We have our own dedicated studio, with access to easels and a range of different materials.

All materials for classes are supplied.

The school is committed to making all courses offered affordable and available to those who have a passion and aptitude for drawing. Therefore we offer a number of 50% and 100% means-tested scholarships for each course. We welcome applications to the Young Associates from all young people with a talent and passion for drawing who are able to commit to regular attendance.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship place please complete the application form. You do not need to book separately through the website and we will contact you if we need any further information.
