Overview
We have a small number of places left on this course for the Autumn Term. If you would like to book a place please email youngartists@royaldrawingschool.org
Taught by practicing artists, this weekly class will lead students through a wide range of observational drawing exercises and support them in creating a portfolio of high-quality work.
Young artists will explore essential drawing techniques through hands-on experimentation with line, tone, shape, perspectives, and colour. Young artists will draw from a wide range of sources – including clothed models, still life arrangements, artworks, film, and their everyday surroundings to encourage a broad approach to image-making.
Tutor will introduce fresh exercises each week, as well as diverse influences and new materials to keep the course vibrant and creatively charged. Alongside technical skills, students will develop critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative abilities – all of which are key components to a confident and curious art practice.
Students will learn skills that allow them to explore their creativity outside the curriculum while building a portfolio of high-quality work that supports their progress in Arts Education.
