The National Gallery is a few minutes walk from either Westminster, Embankment, Leicester Square, Piccadilly or Charing Cross underground stations. 

By bus:

There are number of buses that stop at Trafalgar Square and the Strand - 3,6,9,12,13,15,23,24,29,88,91,139,159,176,453

By car:

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport where possible. There are a number of external parking facilities nearby for visitors wishing to travel by car, please contact the facilities directly for more information.

Access

The gallery has one off-street parking space for Blue Badge holders in Orange Street. Four entrances have level access: the Getty, the Sainsbury Wing, National Café and Education Centre entrances. The main entrance, the Portico entrance, does not have level access. Wheelchairs are available and assistance dogs are welcome. The gallery provides large print versions of the floor plan and large-print labels for each painting. All Information Desks have hearing loops.
