This exhibition of over 150 artworks is a selection from students age 15–18 on our Young Artists programme, made during the 2024-25 academic year.

The Young Artists programme for 10–18 year olds offers a unique opportunity to students from all backgrounds who want to develop their drawing skills. You can find out more about the programme here.

These works represent a small fraction of the thousands of drawings that have been made during the year, giving an indication of the dedication of our students and tutors. The selection was made by our senior faculty to reflect the range and talent of our Young Artists. This is a rare opportunity for these students to show their work in a curated professional exhibition and for many, their first experience of exhibiting their work publicly.

Each week students challenge themselves to capture their observations of the world around them on paper, working from models, artworks, still lifes or street scenes. Drawing is one of the simplest and yet the most endlessly complex of human activities and through regular practise, students not only improve their drawing skills, but also enhance their ability to focus, to concentrate and to make a personal response.

The Young Artists Programme is supported by: The Clore Duffield Foundation, The Leverhulme Trust, The Gosling Foundation, and Peter Simon.
