Who can book a place on a Young Artists course?
Our courses are open to all young artists aged 10 - 18 who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills.
I have booked a place on one of your Young Artists courses. What happens next?
Once you have booked a course, you will receive a booking confirmation email. Please keep this safe as it is your proof of purchase.
Two weeks before your course is due to start, we will send you an email with everything you need to know. This contains full course details and a link to the course Padlet (an online notice board), which includes information on tutors, timings, meeting points, and other key details.
How do I know when new courses will open for booking?
We usually release course details two months before the new term begins.
Our term dates can be found on our website.
We recommend signing up for the Young Artists newsletter to stay up to date with new courses and news.

Scholarships
I am interested in applying for a scholarship for my young artist – how do I do this?
Read full details on how to apply on our Young Artists page.
I have been accepted onto the Scholarship Database. What happens next?
Once added to our database, you will receive an email ahead of each term asking you to select your course preferences.*
Courses are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If successful, we will email you to confirm which course your young artist will be attending.
*Please note: Being added to the database is not a guarantee of a place on a termly course.
I have filled in the Scholarship Course Preference form. What happens next?
All scholarship places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
A member of the team will contact you to confirm whether you have secured a place for the upcoming term.
I have secured a scholarship place for my young artist. What happens next?

All emails are sent to the address used to book the course or apply for the scholarship.
Please check your inbox and junk folder. If you still cannot find it, email us at youngartists@royaldrawingschool.org.
What is a Padlet?

It is important that you check it weekly.
Do you take a break for half-term?
No. All our termly courses run for 10 consecutive weeks.
Do you run holiday courses?
Yes. We run holiday courses in December, over Easter, and in August.
Are materials supplied for your courses?
Materials are supplied for most in-person courses. For online courses, we provide a recommended materials list.
