Royal Society of Literature Remembers: Paula Rego
Autumn Term, sees the return of the Royal Drawing School's Creative Conversations; dialogues between artists, curators and writers. Curated by Dr Claudia Tobin, lectures are held on Wednesday evenings.
This term we have partnered with the Royal Society of Literature to bring you a special evening of memory and celebration of the artist Paula Rego.
The extraordinary artist Paula Rego was often described as a storyteller. Join a panel of writers, artists and academics to explore the immense importance of literature in Rego’s life and work, and the importance and impact of her work on many writers.
Our speakers include RSL Fellow Anthony Rudolf, who was Rego’s companion and principle male model for twenty-six years until she died in 2022, poet Helen Quah, and Julie Held and Susan Wilson from the faculty of the Royal Drawing School.
Join us either at the Royal Drawing School, on Charlotte Road in London or online, for an evening in memory, and celebration, of a remarkable artist.
This is a ticketed event with both in-person and online tickets available. RSL members will need to register for free tickets, members of the public are able to attend with in-person tickets at £12 and online tickets £7.
