Artwork gallery Public spaces
Drawing outside poses a set of challenges quite different to the world of the studio. People are in movement and the spaces become larger and more abstract. The energy and speed of public life can be quite challenging, but it can also offer spontaneity and unexpected encounters leading to new developments in composition and imagination. The abstraction of large spaces and multiple perspectives can lead to pictures that seem to speak to the noise of the city.
