Rest can mean different things to different people. How artists create a feeling of ease within their work is a never-ending journey and for many artists the thought that their work can offer rest and consolation is the highest achievement. There are many ways to capture this, from depicting people at rest, away from work, to creating balanced compositions with a sense of ease.
