In the summer of 2026, the Royal Drawing School reimagined the architecture and gardens of Hauser & Wirth Somerset as a vibrant, site-wide studio. ‘The Drawing Weekender’ offered an expansive programme, from drawing outdoors in the Oudolf Field and site-specific classes within Durslade Farmhouse to artist-led conversations and classes within the Radić Pavilion. Participants of all ages and abilities came together for a unique festival dedicated to the art of drawing.
When we sit down to draw, or stand to draw, we bring everything in us to that process, to that activity.”
