IIFA Residency
The IIFA Teaching Residency is a three-month long teaching residency in India for four Drawing Year alumni. The residency is kindly supported and facilitated by International Institute of Fine Arts in Modinagar (IIFA) in India.
The teaching residency takes each year for three months. This residency is open to artists who have graduated from the Drawing Year in the last five years and have at least one years teaching experience. The residency takes place at IIFA in Modinagar, Delhi. During the three months the resident teachers will collectively teach IIFA’s Foundation Students and Painting Students alongside IIFA teaching staff. Teaching takes place Monday – Friday each week, with the opportunity for individual artists to take time out from teaching for their own practice. Running alongside the artists teaching time, artists will have use of a studio space to focus on their own practice. As well as teaching the residency gives the group the opportunity to spend two weeks traveling ahead of the teaching time to bond and create teaching plans before arriving at IIFA. Artists are also giving the opportunity for independent travel at the end of the residency.

The residency opportunity is fully funded for four artists. Each artist is awarded:
- Travel (return airfares)
- Shared accommodation and studio for 4 artists
- Stipend for daily meals and art materials
- Visa
- Vaccinations
Please note travel insurance is the artists own responsibility.
