Cai Arfon Bellis

Cai Arfon Bellis is a South London based painter who has lived and studied in the capital his entire life. Graduating from the Slade, his painting practice concerns itself with communal experiences and forms of celebration. He uses this to explore his experience of inner-city London, specifically focusing on its rave culture, a prominent part of his upbringing. Studying the forms that emerge from masses in crowded environments, his paintings translate those experiences while aesthetically tugging a line between figuration and abstraction.
