Cai Arfon Bellis

Biography

After Graduating from the Slade in 2019, Cai Arfon Bellis joined the Drawing Year 2022 where his work was selected for the New Contemporaries 2023 and acquired by the Government art collection. His practice is concerned with communal forms of celebration, which he uses to explore his upbringing within London’s rave culture. Bellis’s work is a translation of those experiences, studying the forms that emerge from masses occupying crowded environments while aesthetically drawing a line between figuration and abstraction.
