Overview

Students will be given ample time and space to approach the formal aspects of looking and drawing with the aim of developing their own language. Different ideas such as shape, composition, likeness and negative space will be taken into consideration, and references to the multifarious approaches to this subject by contemporary artists and artists from the past, in both two and three-dimensional forms, will be made throughout.

The long poses of the models will allow an immersive concentration and time to dissect and explore the intricacies of the ever-evasive human form. A variety of materials and mediums will be covered.
