Overview
This course is a fully-funded scholarship programme open to young artists aged 15 – 18.
Taught by practicing artists, this course offers students the chance to sharpen their skills through a wide range of observational drawing exercises. Over time, students will build a portfolio of high-quality work that reflects both technical ability and creative growth.
Young artists will explore core drawing techniques—experimenting with line, tone, shape, form, perspective, proportion, and colour—while building confidence in their own creative expression. Alongside practical skills, they’ll strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication through collaborative and imaginative projects.
Sessions feature drawing from clothed models, still life arrangements, artworks, film, and the imagination, with opportunities to work outdoors or visit exhibitions at leading London galleries and museums.
Students will build a high-quality portfolio that supports their progress in arts education and encourages creativity beyond the classroom.
This programme is designed to complement your studies over a whole academic year. We encourage students to sign up for the whole year, and we will automatically re-enrol you each term. You are, of course, welcome to leave the programme at any time if your priorities change.
