Overview
Summer Term courses will open for booking on Saturday 14 March at 3pm.
Led by practicing artists, students will explore and develop key drawing techniques and skills, experimenting and exploring line, tone, shape, form, perspective, proportion and colour. Student will also develop their critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills and experience working collaboratively and creatively.
Sessions will include drawing from clothed models, still life sets, artworks, film, their own imagination. Young artists will have the opportunity to create collaborative works, theatrical sets and animations as well as venturing into Norwich to draw the city.
Young artists will be encouraged to develop their artistic voice, observational skills, excellence in drawing and will be given the opportunity to use a wide range of materials and mixed media.
This course is based in St Mary's Works at the heart of Norwich’s creative quarter. We have our own dedicated studio, with access to easels and a range of different materials.
Students will learn skills that allow them to explore their creativity outside the curriculum while building a portfolio of high-quality work that supports their progress in arts education.

Who is it for
Students aged 15–18 (school years 10–13) with a passion for drawing and a desire to develop their skills.
